A New Home is the result of several years of writing, refining, and imagining a sound world where orchestral colors, jazz fusion energy, and narrative emotion meet. Conceived shortly after the construction of Archibald Ligonnière’s home studio, the album marks a new creative chapter — a place where music could finally be shaped with total freedom.

The album features an exceptional lineup of musicians whose artistry elevates every track, from the intimate moments to the most expansive, cinematic passages.

Built like a journey, the album explores themes of transition, belonging, movement and renewal. Each piece develops its own landscape: grooves that evolve organically, melodies carried by lyrical saxophone lines, lush keyboards and guitars, layered vocals, and a detailed rhythmic architecture that serves the music rather than spotlighting the drums.

The Team
To bring this vision to life, Archibald assembled an outstanding core ensemble: Gildas Boclé on acoustic bass, Jean-Yves Jung on piano, Stéphane Guillaume on saxophone, and Tom Ibarra on guitar — each bringing their unique sound and sensitivity to the heart of the project. Their interplay, combined with the album’s broader orchestral palette, forms the foundation of A New Home’s identity.
